This is our creative abode for a couple of days, an impeccably restored, 200 year old Portuguese heritage villa in the midst of a quiet inland village of Assagao in Goa. A group of fruit bats are playing in the trees as I type this, and the prettiest male peacock is boasting his impressively sized and patterned plumage to attract a mate. We wake up here to the lush green forest view from our balcony with a cup of cappuccino (creamiest ever). Goa in monsoon is magical!

Evenings are to explore the neighbourhood which has an elegant blend of baroque old-world charm with contemporary design all around. The property is perfectly located to have the fullest experience of the trendy, culturally enriching village of Assagao, surrounded by nature. Hiring a bike for a day to paddle around the village is a great idea.
